Plot : Winter in Wartime is a Dutch movie, which is directed by Martin Koolhoven. The film is an adaptation of the novel written by Jan Terlouw. The film tells the story of a time during World War II, when the Nazis had captured Holland. The film centers on a 13 year old boy named Michiel. When you come across Winter in Wartime video, you will discover Michiel getting engrossed in the confrontation, in the final winter of the Second World War. During this period, he helps an injured British paratrooper. Gradually, Michiel comes to know that good and bad are not far from each other. Michiel’s amateur decision to get into the war, soon becomes dangerous and a cause of worry for all. He is compelled to take actions without being aware of whom to rely on, amongst the adults and townspeople around him. The film moves onto depicting how wartime cruelty actually intrudes on childhood innocence, as Michiel tackles good and evil, bravery and betrayal, and his personal weight of responsibility.
