Plot : This American comedy-drama film is about reporter Campbell Babbit. In 1986, Campbell is sent to Concord, New Hampshire to cover the news on Space Shuttle Challenger’s launch; one of its crew members is a Concord teacher, Christa McAuliffe. On arriving, Campbell decides to meet his old college friend, but discovers the tragic news of his death; his friend committed suicide. He himself is struggling with his morality. So, he decides to pen down a story on his friend, and for that he meets up with his misfit students. As he starts writing, he himself gets pulled towards the students; the group of misfits comprised of a self-absorbed seductress, a pregnant and manipulative teen and others. He begins to believe that no matter what, we all need heroes at some point of time. Gradually, the roles get reversed and he starts reflecting that the traits he is projecting onto his dead friend’s students are actually his own and can be found in many other adults. He is now finding ease with them and is happily living on their terms of life. But for how long can Campbell do this, what about his own individuality and beliefs?
