Plot : Venus is an uproarious comedy drama directed by Roger Michell. This movie is about Maurice (played by Peter O'Toole), a mature booming actor who finds himself fascinated to Jessie (played by Jodie Whittaker), niece of his friends Ian (played by Leslie Phillips).Ian describes her as a problem architect and an annoyance, whereas Maurice had entirely different view towards her. For him, Jessie was a warm perception which he wanted to keep on experiencing. After when Jessie showed her interest in modeling, Maurice organizes her to model naked in an art class. Later on inspired from his favorite painting, he names her “Venus”. In the movie Jessie is shown exploiting Maurice for many reasons. Sometimes for presents, sometimes to have sex with another guy, sometimes sexually rejecting him and many others. She also hurts him but he doesn’t puts her in trouble when he was asked who injured him. The movie also chronicles the on and of relationship between Jessie and Maurice. No doubt the movie is full of hilarious comedy scenes that are enough to give fits of laughter to the viewers, but the end of the movie is quite touchy. That makes its viewers poignant.
