Plot : V for Vendetta is a sci-fi thriller based on David Lloyd's graphic novel of the same name. This futuristic movie is set up in near future in Great Britain that has become a fascist state. A masked freedom fighter (Hugo Weaving), who calls himself V, stands up against all odds to fight and through back the oppressive government. He is alone, powerful, raging and driven by personal vendetta. Not much is known about his past and the government labels him as a terrorist. In one of his attempts, he rescues a beautiful young woman Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman) from a fatal situation. V destructs Old Bailey and overtakes the government controlled airwaves of British Television Network (BTN). Through the channel, he broadcasts a message to the civilians that they should rise-up against the tyrannical government and declares 5th November as the day to mark the vast uprising. Coming to know about his good motives, Evey joins hands with him and becomes his ally. In this revolutionary way she learns about V’s past and also a few truths about her own. They both work together towards freedom and ensuring an un-biased future government.
