Plot : Uncle Kent is a celebration of audacity, which brings together a lonely bachelor and a promiscuous woman in a situation, where they find themselves at crossroads between cherishing each other’s company, and getting rid of each other. Directed by Joe Swanberg, the movie centers on Kent (Kent Osborne), a middle-aged man, who’s nearing old age, but still hasn’t found the woman of his dreams, and is in no hurry to either! Uncle Kent has formed a convenient setup of his own, free from any disturbing influences. To keep his spark alive is his eccentric friend Kev, who hangs around his bachelor pad. Having a penchant for cartoons, he translates the same into a career as a children’s show-writer. Then comes the most critical of all the aspects in his life - romance! Much as Kent would like someone to warm his bed each night, he fails miserably in real-life situations with women. That’s why he resorts to a place, where he’s good with women - an internet chat-room. He spends his nights chatting with strangers, and fantasizing being with them. Until one fateful night, when everything spins out of control! One of the women from his chat sessions, walks right into his house, and announces that she’s there for the weekend. However, things aren’t quite as Kent had hoped them to be, since his temptress is in no mood to get cozy with him. Instead, she prefers to lie in his bed half dressed, talking about how deeply she loves her distant boyfriend.
