Plot : Directed by Tyler Perry, Meet the Browns is a romantic comedy drama based on a popular stage play of the same name. Brenda (Angels Bassett), a single mother of three children, suddenly loses her job and at the same times receives the news of the death of her father whom she had never met. As she arrives to attend funeral of her father along with her three children, she finds a loving family that is crass but good-natured, welcoming her and her children with open arms. As she discovers the funny and caring nature of her family with whom she had never connected, she not only gets a break from the stress of surviving in inner city Chicago but also a brand new romance that is about to change her life for ever.
