Plot : Madea goes to Jail is a comical crime drama about a mischievous elderly lady who ends up in jail. After a high-speed freeway chase, the mischief-prone Medea (Tyler Perry) finds herself behind bars. While a gleeful Joe (Tyler Perry), rejoices in Medea’s misfortune, her peculiar family rallies behind her. Meanwhile, ADA Joshua Hardaway (Derek Luke), when faced with a too personal case of defending the young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington (Keisha Knight Pulliam), hands over the case to his fiancée and fellow ADA Linda Holmes (Ion Overman). Candace ends up in jail where she finds herself under the protective and motherly care of Medea.
