Plot : Directed & Produced by Barry Ptolemy, Transcendent Man is centered on Ray Kurzweil, the American Author, inventor & futurist. Ray Kurzweil prepares the world to evolve with his insights into the concept of ‘Singularity’. This is a hypothetical situation in the future that explains that there will be an era, or the world will witness a time in their life, when the technological advancements will accelerate at a very high pace. This will be the time when the humans will have to enhance themselves with an artificial intelligence; as a solution for survival, or a technique that will help them cope up with the changing scenario. He puts it into a form of creating ‘super intelligence’ and alleges that a post-singularity world would be unpredictable to humans, due to an inability of human beings to imagine the intentions or capabilities of such extreme intellectual entities. This documentary film will sure make you wonder how world and humans will be, if one such concept of technological singularity exists.
