Plot : Directed by Darren Aronofsky, The Wrestler is a sports drama about the struggle of a faded professional to adjust to life outside the ring. Randy "The Ram" Robinson is an aging professional wrestler who makes end meet, by doing small wrestling shows in VFW halls and working part-time as a grocery store employee. His health problems have now taken a toll on his wrestling career and he tries to come to terms with his life outside the ring. He takes up a full time job at the grocery store, tries to reconcile with his estranged daughter (Evan Rachel Wood) and even form a closer bond with a stripper (Marisa Tomei) he has romantic feelings for. However, the offer for a re-match with The Ayatollah, his arch rival form the past allures him back into the world of wrestling.
