Plot : ‘The Window’ is a fantastic drama directed by Carlos Sorin. This movie depicts the tale of an eighty-year-old bedridden man, who is longing to see his estranged son. Via this movie, Carlos has tried to analyze the significance of aging, memory and death. The nostalgia of a father, who hopes to meet his son for the last time, before going departing forever, is characterized in an emotionally-charged way. The Window video is like a meditation, in which feelings of wistfulness makes a father, wait desperately for the final reunion. The father, Antonio, hasn’t seen his son since years and now as he is lying on his deathbed, he is looking forward to the arrival of his son, who’s a world-famous concert pianist. To make this long-awaited union a perfect meeting, he makes arrangements to put all the things in perfect order. He calls all his caretakers to make his grand mansion as appealing as possible, asks a piano expert to make the instrument work properly, and finally brings a 40-year-old champagne bottle from the underground story of his large estate. While the servants carry out the preparations, Antonio sees them through window and gets overwhelmed with remembrances of old memories.
