Plot : The Time Travelers Wife, a sci-fi based romantic drama directed by Robert Schwentke, tells the tale of a man whose rare gene makes him to involuntarily do time travel, thus complicating his love life. Henry De Tamble (Eric Bana) is a dashing, adventuresome librarian based in Chicago, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder. This causes him to move uncontrollably back and forth through time, whenever he is under extreme stress. Clare (Rachel McAdams) is a beautiful young heiress who has been in love with Henry her entire life and believes that they are destined to be together. Despite the fact that Henry has no control over his skipping back and forth in time which causes the couple to stay apart without any prior warning, the two marry. But despite the problems and complexities of their abnormal relationship that are increased by Henry's sudden disappearances and which makes the couple feel always out of sync, their passionate commitment for one another binds them in an impossibly romantic trap.
