Plot : Snowtown is a horrendous tale that reminds Australia that it is also not a safe country as their lived a sick man who murdered many for his equally sickening beliefs. This movie clearly indicates that somewhere the decay of humanity has begun as harrowing murderers swing their weapons with the aim to kill neighbors and people they love and adore. Snowtown does not puts its focus on the murderer but on a boy named Jamie who is nothing but a disturbed teen. He has lost his adolescence because of the brutality that exists in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. He lives along with his mother and two little brothers, her mother is unhappy in life as she continues to drag her life each day. Amidst all the chaos and apathy, the boy meets a captivating young man named John Bunting who comes as a guardian angel in his life. There is a quick connection between them and suddenly Jamie feels that life will be back on track as he has mentor who is going to guide him. Indeed, he is the mentor but all he teaches him is his own strong beliefs. John introduces the boy into is world of malice and self righteousness. The relationship between the two is somewhat like that of a father and son as the father teaches the son what to do and what not do. Slowly and steadily, John and Jamie becomes very close and it seems like the former is that latter’s role model. Initially, Jamie is in the impression that John is a nice man but things change when a certain group of persons starts to disappear from the town. He has no idea that the so-called mentor and friend is nobody but the most dangerous killer of Australia known for brutally killing people.
