Plot : Sleep Dealer, a Science fiction movie, directed by Alex Rivera, is set in near future. It’s the time when USA has successfully blocked the borders and everything is under the control of technology. The virtual labor and the global digital network are in existence. At that time, three strangers decide to risk their lives with intentions to crack the fence of the technology and to stay connected to each other. The three important characters, Luz Martínez, Rudy and Memo, in the movie are portrayed by Leonor Varela, Jacob Vargas and Luis Fernando Peña respectively. Sleep Dealer is 90 minutes long and has won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award and the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
