Plot : “The Road’ is a science fiction tale, directed by John Hillcoat. This movie sheds light on the struggle of a father and son, who had to fight against starvation, under devastating conditions in America. This was a dreadful cataclysm, which destroyed all plant and animal life and made it difficult to survive for living beings. After that obliteration, there were only few remains of mankind left, which had to fight cannibalism and scavenging. So in order to find a warmer place to live, the father and his son decided to travel in south direction. They were not sure, whether they would find something for themselves in that place or not, but they were hoping for some better environment in Southern zone. The Road video indicates that they started their journey with nothing except a pistol, a tarnished shopping cart, clothes on the body and the satisfaction of being with each other. They had to carry a gun, as to defend themselves against the uncontrolled cannibalistic bands and also to commit suicide if things get worse in future. Along the way, their anxieties got piled up as they encountered various troubles in the form of cannibal gang etc.
