Plot : The Providence Effect is a wonderful documentary directed by Rollin Binzer. This movie is about Paul J. Adams III. Paul was an African-American activist. Due to his involvement in civil rights activities, he was black listed as a teacher in Alabama. This was the reason why he moved to Chicago and there he pursued a master’s degree in psychology. And after getting the degree, he landed as guidance counselor at Providence St. Mel. Later on, Adams became the principal of the school. He was also told that the subsequent year, the school will get closed. Then Adam organized a fundraising function which grabbed the media and government attention. In addition, he also got enough money to free the school. Then he sets certain new goal for their school so that Providence St. Mel could be the best in its field. He improves each and everything and with his innovative ideas, the school really gains a lot of achievements. In just two years, the scores of the students go to 50th percent from 9 percent. Those enhanced achievements were…THE PROVIDENCE EFFECT.
