Plot : The story is about a poor group of kids from Monterry. Mexico defies extraordinary odds to become the first foreign team winning the Little League World Series - doing so in a perfect game, the only one in the championship history. When Cesar Faz (Clifton Collins, Jr.) is laid off from his janitorial job with the St. Louis Cardinals, he moves back to Monterrey. There he meets local children being led by Padre Esteban (Cheech Marin) enjoying baseball. These kids, led by their priest and a down-and-out former major leaguer, embark on a journey through the southern US and up into Williamsport, PA for the Championship game. He takes Angel Macias (Jake T. Austin) under him as a pitcher. With sheer hard work, the team is recruited in the Little League. But when the team arrives in America, the team goes through a lot of troubles like racism, visa trouble, ported and the bigotry which didn’t allow them to use certain buses and restaurants. But their faith and self confidence lead to a series of victories. They become a friend of the sports reporter Frankie (Emilie de Ravin) and the groundskeeper, Cool Papa Bell (Lou Gossett, Jr.).
