Plot : Premiering on October 16, 2009 The Maid forced a cold sweat of horror to run down the viewers spines. The movie’s terror-packed storyline easily paints a horrified expression on the face of anyone who dares to watch it. The plot of The Maid revolves around a Chinese myth that each year a unique period of 30 days arrives when doors of hells are left wide open and revenge-hungry spirits are able to wander among humans. This is their yearly chance to seek vengeance before the gates are closed gain. At the start of this very period a young aged girl starts working as a maid for Chinese family comprising of opera artists. The family showers utmost love on the new visitor. They also intimate her about this myth and tell her that she should show utmost respect towards spirits during this period. But this maid ignores their warnings and ends up offending the spirits. Now she is chased by spirits everywhere. Things become scarier when she discovers ashes of their former maid inside the house.
