Plot : The Last Airbender is an adventure fantasy movie, related to the Avatar series. This is the story of a world, where the civilization is split into the four elements of nature – Fire, Air, Water and Earth. Fantastic animals and spirits intermingle with the characters, telling the tale of a reluctant hero, Aang, who is the current Avatar. An Avatar is the reincarnation of previous avatars, and is the only one in the world capable of bending all four elements. Each new Avatar is born in the next nation, in a cyclic order of seasons. He is born with the knowledge and abilities of all the past avatars, but that is subject to development, through extensive trial and training. Therefore, the need for Aang, the current Avatar, to learn the skills for bending the elements from the respective masters (each nation has benders, who can bend their own element) becomes essential. The world is ravaged by a 100 year war waged by the present Fire Lord Ozai, in his bid to rule the world. The Air nation is all but vanquished and many Earth kingdom towns have also been subjugated. Aang and his flying bison, Appa, are encased in an iceberg, as a protective measure, a hundred years before. However, now they are released by Katara (a water bender) and her brother Sokka. Aang sets off to the Northern Air Temple, where he learns that he is the Avatar and most of the Air nation has been vanquished.
