Plot : Based on SNK Playmore’s series of fighting games, titled King of Fighters, this movie brings to the big screen, an adrenaline packed gift. The movie unfolds, typically, as the tournament “King of Fighters” is taking place and various challengers are being invited. Fighters from the real world, fight in an alternate reality, which they access via a special Bluetooth headset. With each victory, a fighter finds himself one rung higher on the ladder. The movie mainly revolves around Mai Shiraanui (Maggi Q) Kyo Kusanagi (Sean Faris) and Lori Yagami (Will Yun Lee). The three are scions of past martial arts dynasties, however, they are yet to realize the same. The Kagura Mirror, the Yagami Necklace and the Kusanagi Sword act as the baseline of the happenings. It is believed that whoever gets these three, would be able to find a gateway to get the dimension where Orochi exists. The one who gains power over the Orochi would have power that would be limitless. This is where the villain makes his entry - Rugal Bernstein, whose evil ambition is to become the ultimate power on earth and master all the fighters. Bernstein shoots everyone and steals the three relics. However, Chizuru Kagura reveals to Mai that the sword that Bernstein stole was a fake, because Saisyu Kusanagi is the only person who knows where the real relic is hidden. He also tells her that she is the only one who can defeat the evil one. The story takes an important turn when Mai meets Kyo, Saisyu Kusanagi’s son. The essence of friendship, fights, dark secrets and spiritual strata of beliefs are amazing, and these are what take the movie beyond the game.
