Plot : Directed by Tom Tykwer, The International is a crime thriller. Interpol agent Louis Salinger (Clive Owen), along with Manhattan assistant district attorney Eleanor Whitman (Naomi Watts) investigates a money trail which takes them from Berlin to Milan to New York and to Istanbul. The trail finally leads the two to one of the world's most powerful banks which is involved in illegal activities including money laundering, arms trading, and the destabilization of governments. As the two are determined to bring the financial institution to justice they find themselves being chased across globe and their lives under great risk. They soon realize that their powerful enemy is equally determined to continue financing war and terrorism at any cost as it is their source of earning profits.
