Plot : The Hitcher is a 2007 Dave Meyers directed thriller film. It is a remake of 1986 film of the same name. The suspense begins when college students Jim Halsey and his sweetheart Grace Andrews, give lift to hitchhiker John Ryder. The stranger proves to be a real psychopath when he threatens the couple with a knife. The couple gets frightened to see the behavior of this man. Somehow, they succeed to throw the man out of his car. Next morning, the couple sees John riding in someone else’s car. They saw him travelling with a family. On the way to tell them that this man is dangerous, they met with an accident. When they start walking, they find out that the family is killed and the driver is dying slowly due to knife embedded in his stomach. In search of help, they reach a restaurant where the driver dies. Jim and Grace were held responsible for the murder. They try to cope up with the situation but get entangled more.
