Plot : The Girlfriend Experience is a revealing study of the world of prostitution from a call girl’s perspective. Chelsea (Sasha Grey) is a call girl who makes about $2000 an hour as she provides much more to her customers than sexual encounter. Addicted to money, she feels dissatisfied with $125 an hour that her boyfriend Chris (Chris Santos), whom she shacks up with, makes as a personal trainer at a downtown gym. Despite having a devoted boyfriend who accepts her life style, she follows the advice of a businessman client of hers to visit a sex connoisseur who runs an influential site. Her visit results in his promising her a favorable review in exchange of free sample. Later, while trying to deal with the awful web reviews by sex connoisseur, Chelsea comes across a new client Philip. Whether she will ever be able to overcome her career anxieties and have a real Girlfriend Experience remains to be seen.
