Plot : The Girl Who Played with Fire is a Swedish thriller film, adapted from a famous novel of the same name, written by a highly-praised Swedish author named Stieg Larsson. This film is the second part in the trilogy of Millennium series. The plot of this film sheds light on two main characters of the story namely, Lisbeth Salander who is a young journalist as well as computer hacker and Mikael Blomkvist who happens to be the editor-publisher of Millennium magazine. The film portrays that how Lisbeth who returns back to Sweden after living a year abroad, gets accused of committing three murders including the murder of a journalist, his girlfriend and her own guardian named Nils Bjurman who was appointed by court. Under these unexpected circumstances, Lisbeth approaches Mikael with a thoroughly researched thesis about prostitution and women trafficking in Sweden from Eastern Europe. Almost immediately, Mikael joins her in the quest to identify people who are carrying out sex trafficking and abusing young girls in the city. While Lisbeth is on the run to save herself from police and work independently to expose the criminals, Mikael investigates on his own end to reveal the crooked and corrupt practices of Swedish officials. Over the course of the film, audience will not only get to know the real culprits behind all the murders and crimes, but about the dark and horrible secrets of Lisbith’s family as well.
