Plot : Directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, The Double hour is a romantic-thriller, which has love and thrill as its basic ingredients. The flick revolves around the protagonist Sonia, who belongs to Eastern Europe, but has immigrated to Turin. Being new to the place, she is in search of a boyfriend to get out of her not-so-good past. With this notion in mind, she registers to speed-dating service and happens to meet Guido, who is an ex-cop-turned-guard. She develops romantic feelings for him and he is also smitten by the love-bug. To give their newly-found love, a chance to blossom further, she visits him in the villa that he is taking care of. But soon, the happiness is turned into dismay as the villa is being captured by some burglars and they shot Guido in the encounter. This unforeseen event shocks Sonia to the core and she is left with no other option, but to find a way to save herself. Will she be able to get herself to the threshold of safety? Will she be able to take revenge of her lover’s murder? As you watch The Double Hour movie, you will witness the uber-suspense that’s packed in the storyline, in a very subtle manner.
