Plot : The Day After Tomorrow is an action/adventure movie directed by Roland Emmerich. In the beginning of the movie, it was shown that Jack Hall (played by Dennis Quaid) is in Antarctica and is accompanied by two colleagues, Frank (played by Jay O. Sanders) and Jason (Dash Mihok). Afterwards he was shown warning everyone at a United Nation meeting in India about the forthcoming natural calamities due to global warming. Then it was shown that natural calamities causes mass destruction throughout the world. In the meantime, a very powerful hurricane with enormous hailstones destroys Tokyo. Then the complete area of LA including Los Angeles International Airport was destroyed. Sam (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) was Jack's son. He had been to New York for some academic competition with his friends, Brian (Arjay Smith) and Laura (Emmy Rossum). When the calamities reach New York, he calls his dad and assures him to be back, however due to the worsen condition, he couldn’t and somehow gets into New York Public Library, which was a bit safer than any other place. Than Jack decides to find his son and accompanied by Frank And Jason, he finds his son. They were then rescued by helicopters. The movie ends a shot from space showing northern hemisphere covered in ice.
