Plot : “The Damned United” is a sports-drama directed by Tom Hooper. The movie reflects the dominion of Brian Clough on the top football club of England, Leeds United. Brian was the former manager of Derby County and his past experiences led him to dislike Leeds’s style-of-play under the former coach Revie. Moreover, he even expresses his disliking in an interview as he expresses that the team has played violently and abruptly because of Revie. On his way to hold his command over team, he misses the support of his assistant, who has not joined him at Leeds. The story moves in flashback when Brian recalls that how his team Derby lost in the game with the defending champion Leeds. But the coach himself believes that Leeds has managed to win all matches unfairly. In the guidance of Brian, Leeds plays their first match with Liverpool. But sooner the captain of both teams gets indulged in a fight. Both of them are then sent-off to the ground. Finally, Leeds loses the match with dismissal of his influential captain for two months.
