Plot : The aviator is a biographical movie based on the early years of the career of legendary director and aviator Howard Hughes. Set in late 1920s the movie extends to the mid 1940s when he was on the heights of success though his business kept flourishing even after that. Hughes was the son of a Texan inventor who had invented a revolutionary and amazing drill bit but died when he was mere 18. His father had left him with 75% of the "Hughes Tool Co." but his interest in movies made him to move to Los Angeles and become a Hollywood film producer. As a producer he launched the career of Jean Harlow along with many others. He produced a number of amazing movies like Hell's Angels, The Front Page, Flying Leathernecks, and Scarface (the 1932 original). Finally he moved forward to own RKO Pictures. Though his main interest was movies but he also ventured into a number of other fields like casinos, and aviation industry. The movie ends in 1946 when he was still a handsome young man and had romantic relations with beauties like Katharine Hepburn and Ava Gardner.
