Plot : That Evening Sun is an adaptation drama directed by Scott Teems. This film sheds light on the tragic tale of an aging farmer, Abner Meecham (Hal Holbrook). This Tennessee peasant feels very disheartened, as his lawyer son abandons him at the nursing facility. He then decides to flee from the old age home, in order to move back to his town. In a desire to live a comfortable and peaceful life, he heads back to his old farm. But his contentment gets converted into sadness when, after reaching his place, he discovers that his son (Walton Goggins) has rented that farm to Abner’s old foe. In a fit of anger, he decides to stay in the renter’s hut and announces that he won’t get out of that place until his son gives him back the possession of his leased property. But the situation gets worse when the enemy tenant, Lonzo Choat, denies leaving that house and refuses to accept any demand from Abner’s side. As each person is right on his own side, That Evening Sun video signifies how this causes a brutal pitiless match between Choat and Abner. This provokes Abner to set a new path for his life.
