Plot : Syriana is a geopolitical thriller movie that is directed by Stephen Gaghan. The movie has a number of parallel stories running through Texas, Washington D.C., Switzerland, Spain, and the Middle East. It describes the corruption and fight for power related to oil industry. Bob Barnes (George Clooney) is a CIA agent and is looking forward to spend more time with his son. His next secret mission is the assassination of Persian Gulf Prince Nasir (Alexander Siddig) which he finds to be a high level conspiracy. Bryan Woodman (Matt Damon) is an energy analyst who goes to Marbella, Spain to attend a party hosted by emir. There he loses his son due to electrocution and finds support in Prince Nasir who makes him the economic advisor of the company. Prince Nasir believes in progressive reform unlike his father and younger brother. Thus he gives an oil contract to China cutting the contact with the American company. Thus the American company Connex merges with another company Killen. The government, fearing a scam hires a lawyer (Jeffrey Wright) to keep a check. Another story is of Pakistani teenager (Mazhar Munir) who loses his job in the oil field.
