Plot : After George A. Romero’s Diary of the Dead, his sixth film on a similar theme is named Survival of the Dead (the full title of the film is George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead). Depicting a world, where humans are almost negligible in number and zombies rule, Survival of the Dead shows the efforts of a group of National Guardsmen to escape into a land where they can be free from the tyranny of zombies. During the search for such a place, the group takes along with them a teenage boy (played by Devon Bostick). The teenager shows the group, an online video, which seems to be the final answer to their quest – an old man inviting people to a zombie-free place, called Plum Island, and located somewhere off the coast of Delaware. Once the group is in Plum Island, they realize that there was an ongoing feud between Captain Patrick O’ Flynn (played by Kenneth Welsh) and Seamus Muldoon (played by Richard Fitzpatrick). The group, led by Sarge “Nicotine” Crocket (played by Alan Van Sprang), are attacked by Muldoon’s men, which results in the death of Chuck (Joris Jarsky), one of the group members. As a consequence of Chuck’s death, Sarge and his group decide to avenge the murder and fight against Muldoon.
