Plot : In teenage years, everything from being a billionaire and owning the stars for oneself seems a task that didn’t require much thought. But as those let-the-devil-care times fade away and reality starts seeping in, we confront the not-so-pleasant real world. Skateland is the tale of some youngsters, who wished to bring the world to their knees. Based in 1980’s, the picture shows the central character, Ritchie Wheeler, accompanied by his siblings Brent and Michelle Burkham, coming face to face with the workings of the brutal world. Set in Texas, the story sees the young lads get ready to give their dreams a chase, but as the story develops, the characters come to know how things work and there are no short cuts to success. Skateland portrays the reality of each one of us. The drama tale witnesses Ritchie gaining new insights into life, as he looks at what he has been doing and where he wants to be. Perspectives of the youngsters change as the film proceeds. It leaves a very strong message of being at peace with one’s reality, and letting go if things don’t work your way.
