Plot : ‘Sandstorm’ is a heart-rending drama, directed by Michael Mahonen. The movie strings along a vindictive Chinese police officer, He Tianying. For twelve days and night he and his wife have been shut in their home due to a substantial sandstorm occupying a vast area of China. Meanwhile, they have been encountering problems one-on-one. First, their young daughter is get missed in the storm. Then his wife’s life-sustaining medicine appears at the verge of end, the electricity and communication is totally cut-off, their food and water are also running out. As Tianying cares for his dying wife, in this separation and detention he reminds of all the nasty deeds undertaken by him as a policeman. He used to be inhuman officer, who harasses common citizens for following the spiritual practice of Falun Gong. In a series of flashbacks, Tianying recalls all the persecution that he practiced on innocent civilians. And, as he munches through his last food & water, he is visited in a dream by spirit of his daughter, who shows him deeper truth and hopes. To the sum, The Sandstorm video features that how a person can betray his conscience just for the sake of success and money.
