Plot : Salt is an American action thriller movie from the house of Columbia pictures. It has been directed by the renowned movie maker Philip Noyce. Kurt Wimmer has scripted this heart pounding crime story. At the outset, Tom Cruise was chosen for the lead role but due to his busy schedule, Columbia pictures chose Jolie. Salt is the saga of Evelyn Salt, portrayed brilliantly by the exceedingly talented Angelina Jolie. In the movie, she plays the role of a CIA agent, who takes pledge to save the honor of the country and believes in it whole heartedly. Things take an ugly turn when she is falsely accused of being a Russian undercover agent. In order to prove that all allegations made against her are false, Salt goes on the run. Her only mission remains to prove herself innocent and show the world that she is a true nationalist. Nevertheless, Salt’s attempt to prove her innocence, goes in vain. The chase to unveil the truth behind her identity remains a matter of challenge for her.
