Plot : Rumor Has It… is a romantic comedy revolving around the complicated life of a woman and hoe she unwinds its tangles. Sarah Huttington is a New York Times journalist and writes the obituary column. She along with her fiancé Jeff Daly travels to Pasadena to attend her younger sister Annie’s wedding. She is rather confused, whether to marry Jeff or not though she has agreed. She also find herself uncomfortable with her strangely tennis obsessed family. In the marriage of Annie she hears a rumor that the movie and book "The Graduate" are based on her family. Her grandmother Katherine tells her that a week before her mother Jocelyn’s marriage she had run to spend time with classmate Beau Burroughs. Learning all this, Sarah starts finding a connection of her confused life to Beau. Thus she flies to San Francisco to meet him who was now a wealthy Silicon Valley Internet wizard. There she talks to him about all these events and Beau admits about his relation with her mother. What remains to be seen is whether this was sufficient this helps Sarah to find the reality of her life.
