Plot : Revanche, a romantic crime drama directed by Götz Spielmann, is about an ex-convict whose plans of running away to the south with his girlfriend after a robbery, are trampled by his desire for revenge. A small-time criminal, Alex (Johannes Krisch), comes out of the prison and starts working for Konecny (Hanno Pöschl), who manages a filthy prostitution house. Konecny is unaware of Alex’s affair with Tamara (Irina Potapenko), one of his prostitutes. Alex, in order to get some quick money, robs a bank and goes into hiding on the farm of his grandfather (Hannes Thanheiser), waiting for the dust to settle on the matter. As he tries to keep a low profile, he feels uneasy with boredom and despair. However, his new friendship with a jovial and kind woman, Susanne (Ursula Strauss), helps to change his frame of mind. But the twist in the tale occurs when Alex learns that Susanne is the wife of Robert (Andreas Lust), who happens to be working in the local police force.
