Plot : Ray is a biographical movie based on the life of musician Ray Charles. The movie stars Jamie Foxx as Ray focusing on 30 years of his life. Born in a poor town in Georgia he had lost his eyesight in early childhood when he was just seven. His younger brother had died in an accident. His only support was his single mother who taught him to make his own way in the world. Growing under this motive he developed the fierce resolve and explored his musical talent. Ray came out to be a musical genius who revolutionized the world of music. By early 1960s he had fulfilled his dream and gained vast popularity. He even made it to the Carnegie Hall. Touring across the Southern musical circuit he soon touched the skies of popularity. His first successful European tour was in 1960 and never looked back after that. His unique style blended with gospel, country, jazz and orchestra gave birth to a new type of audience. He also fought for the rights of artists and stood against segregation. The movie also depicts other aspects of his life like relationships and drug-addiction.
