Plot : Paris 36 is a drama directed by Christophe Barratier about the struggle of a common man in the turbulent times in Paris during the spring of 1936. Germain Pigoil (Gérard Jugnot) has been working as a stage hand at the local theatre. His life is pushed in chaos when his estranged wife, Viviane (Elisabeth Vitali), claims the custody of their son Jojo (Maxence Perrin) while an unscrupulous local entrepreneur, Galapiat (Bernard-Pierre Donnadieu) threatens to shut down theatre. However, Germain with the help of Milou (Clovis Cornillac), a local political organizer and Jacky Jacquet (Kad Merad), a veteran entertainer, manages to make a deal with Galapiat to reopen the theater. A lovely young woman named Douce (Nora Arnezeder), who has a remarkable voice helps revive business for the theatre.
