Plot : Pan’s Labyrinth is a fantasy movie set to form a political fable. The movie revolves around a dreamy little girl Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) who loves fairy tales. The movie is set in 1944 Spain as Ofelia and her pregnant mother Carmen Vidal (Ariadna Gil) have to move to her step-father in country-side who is a ruthless and sadistic army general named Captain Vidal (Sargi Lopez). Her mother is ill and pregnant with her step-father’s child. Ofelia always lives in her dreamy world of fairies. This dreamy world supports her in the world of cruelties. On reaching her new father’s home instead of being welcomed, she and her mother have to face his anger for being late. One night she meets a fairy who takes her to a faun in a labyrinth. The faun explains her that she is a princess of an underground kingdom. Her real father is the king and is waiting for her. She has to survive three difficult tasks to prove herself. Now to meet her father she must complete these dangerous tasks. During her assignment she meets many monsters of tales as well as real life.
