Plot : Directed by Stephane Gauger, Owl and the Sparrow is a comedy-drama from Vietnam, about an orphan who tries to play matchmaker. Thuy (Pham Thi Han) is an orphan who is sent to live with her uncle Tran Le Minh (Nguyen Hau) who treats her badly. This forces Thuy to run away to Saigon, where she earns a living by selling flowers and makes many friends including Hai (Le The Lu), a zookeeper and Lan (Cat Ly), a stewardess. Sensing, both of them to be lonely Thuy plans to intervene and play matchmaker to her friends hoping to find a family for herself but first she must tackle her uncle who comes looking for her and authorities bent on sending her to orphanage.
