Plot : Off Jackson Avenue, a drama flick directed by John-Luke Montias, is an interlinked crime story of various criminals that is set in New York. A Mexican woman Olivia (Jessica Pimentel) struggles to get out of the life of sex-slavery into which she has been tricked by an Albanian pimp, Milot (Stivi Paskoski). On the other hand a Japanese hit man, Tomo (Jun Suenaga) is haunted by the ghost of his recently dead mother, and is in the city to complete a job assigned to him by the Chinese mafia. Then there is the local car-thief, Joey (John-Luke Montias) who wants to start a legitimate life by running a tyre store, but for that he has to commit one last act of stealing which will enable him to raise enough money for buying the store. The film tells a smack-bang tale of ambition, endurance and destiny while taking the viewer through those parts of New York City which are not to be found on any map.
