Plot : Nanny McPhee is a comedy movie set in the form of a dark and witty fable. The movie takes its inspiration from Christianna Brand’s "Nurse Matilda" books. The storyline revolves around Brown family and the events of their lives. Mr. Cedric Brown has just become a widower and now is left alone with his seven undisciplined and naughty children. He has made a lot of attempts to keep the children in control by hiring a nanny. All his attempts had gone in vain as the children headed by the eldest Simon succeeded in driving away the nannies whose number comes to 17. One day a mysterious voice tells Cedric to hire Nanny McPhee who was actually a magical woman. As she takes control of the house, the children start mending their ways. Everything is going well till a domineering Aunt Adelaide declares that she would separate the children if Cedric doesn’t marry by end of that month. McPhee tells Simon that he would have to face the consequences if his father didn’t marry. Thus a search for a perfect mother begins.
