Plot : “Mother and Child” is a heart-rending drama, directed by Rodrigo García. The story of this movie focuses on the powerful and deep emotional bonding that exists between a mother and a child. A 50-year-old mother, who gave birth to a baby girl at an immature age of 14 and abandoned her, always feels depressed by this feeling. The movie is fast forwarded to the present times where three women are shown, and each one of them is struggling hard to gain control over their lives. The movie starts with a lawyer, Elizabeth (Naomi Watts), who’s successful because of the fact that she always makes use of her body to do the things, which are out of her control. Karen (Annette Bening) is that lady which have given her daughter to adoption, years back, and turned out to be a bitter health care professional later. Her bitterness which has evolved out in her heart due to her guilt feeling, always forces her to be extremely rude with the people around her. Mother and Child video then wonderfully reveals that Karen is actually the mom of Elizabeth, the hardcore lawyer. After that, the movie introduces another African American women Lucy (Kerry Washington), who is incapable of conceiving with her hubby and looking to adopt a child.
