Plot : Mongol is a biographical movie about the early life of Genghis Khan who later conquered half of the world including Russia in the year 1206. The movie follows young Temüjin and the events in his early life that molded him into a legendry conqueror later. A nine year old Temüjin is taken on a trip by his father Esugei to select a girl to become his future wife. There he meets Börte who affirms that she would make an excellent wife and would like to be chosen. Though his father wanted him to choose a girl from Merkit tribe but he finally agrees. Temüjin promises her that he would return after five years to marry her. On their way back his father dies on being poisoned by an enemy tribe. While dying, he declares him to be the next Khan. But one of his father’s warriors Targutai loots his camp and takes along all the live-stock and horses, leaving him to starve. Later the warrior finds him and locks him up in a Cangue. He escapes and then in 1186 he is shown as a young man. He finds Börte but his hardships haven’t ended yet.
