Plot : Max Manus, a war based historical and biographical action drama directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, about one of the most talented spies during World War II and the battle that rages inside him. Max Manus (Aksel Hennie) joins the Norwegian resistance movement against Germans, and is soon arrested. But he escapes to Scotland, where he is trained to complete diverse sabotage missions against Germany. Manus returns to Norway and his outstanding success in attacking the German supply ships makes him a prized target for Siegfried Wolfgang Fehmer (Ken Duken), the Gestapo commander. However, he evades arrest and forms the "Oslo-group", along with his friend Gregers Gram (Nicolai Cleve Broch) and Gunnar Sønsteby (Knut Joner). Later, he meets Tikken (Agnes Kittelsen), a Norwegian contact working for the British consulate and develops a strong bond with him. As war turns more violent, Manus starts blaming himself for surviving, while many of his friends lose their lives. When he meets Fehmer, he realizes that the pointless war had victimized everyone.
