Plot : What happens when an unassuming young man becomes the most eligible bachelor in town, following his unexpected lottery win? Well, he is said to be very ‘Lucky’, and gets a movie made on him! Ben cannot figure out what is wrong with him, and why he can never seem to get lucky when it comes to dating women. He has a long-running crush on Lucy, who’s portrayed by the ravishing Ari Graynor. When he suddenly wins a $36 million lottery, he knows that his life has changed forever. She ends up marrying him, while he remains completely oblivious to the ploy he’s fallen into, that she wants nothing but his money. However, the film isn’t all about a dumb winner, who is exploited by the woman of his dreams. It also entwines into the comical setting, a dark plot, which centers on Ben’s past as a murderer, and the repercussions that it has on the fairytale that he is now living. Along with capturing the irony of Ben’s win, the movie also offers ample drama surrounding the bemused Lucy as she discovers that she isn’t as smart as she thought she was.
