Plot : Directed by Rob Margolies, Lifelines is a comedy drama about a deeply dysfunctional family that pays a visit to their family therapist in order to find some common ground. Set in the backdrop of suburban Utopia, the story revolves around the Bernstein family which includes three foul-mouthed kids (Robbie Sublett, Dreama Walker, and Jacob Kogan), a caffeine-addict mother (Jane Adams) on the brink, and a less than forthcoming father (Josh Pais). The members of the family experience a collective hostility and tension in their relationship with each other and as such they agree to pay a visit to the family therapist Dr. Livingston (Joe Morton). The medic not only helps the family to give vent to repressed anger and antagonism and also helps them to draw out their demons and dark secrets.
