Plot : Directed by Eran Riklis, Lemon Tree is a latest release movie which begins with Salma Zidane (Hiam Abbass), a widow, living in a tiny Palestinian village. Her house is flanked by dozens of lemon trees planted by her great grand parents. Things take a drastic turn, when the Israeli Minister of Defense constructs his house next to her. This resulted in her lemon trees started being viewed as a security risk for the minister, and orders are issued to uproot them. Salma then turns to a lawyer, Ziad Daud (Ali Suliman) so that her ancestral property could be saved from being destroyed. Making things worse was the fact that Salma started falling in love with her lawyer. But then a new hope dawns in Salma’s life, in the form of the neglected wife, Mira Navon (Rona Lipaz-Michael), of the minister, who starts feeling compassion for her.
