Plot : Lake Tahoe, a drama about teenager who witnesses some strange happenings in his town, is directed by Fernando Eimbcke. Fourteen year old Juan (Diego Catano) finds himself without a parent when his grieving mother stops functioning as one after the recent death of his father. One day when he crashes the family car, also his father’s final gift, he goes to look for someone who can help him repair it. His search leads him to various strange people including a suspicious old mechanic Don Heber and his sole companion Sica, a dog, Lucia, a young mother convinced that she is destined to be the lead singer of a punk band as well as another teenager mechanic, “The One who Knows”, passionate about the philosophy of kung fu and martial arts. The strange and puzzling worlds of these people take Juan on day long trip which gradually makes him realize that the decisions he makes today could greatly affect him for the rest of his life.
