Plot : The story talks about the life of Homer Hobbs. After spending two years in jail, he finds the life outside to be nastier than what he faced inside the jail. He come backs to an unwelcoming town. Here he suffers from depression as he has no job, no money, no future, and no hope. He is left with none other than four strangers, who are also struggling to stay alive. One Sunday night in a dirty hall in a hopeless neighborhood, those four men of the ghetto, put together the finest attire their meager lives can get them, to compete in an underground contest like no other. The winner of the contest will walk away with a five dollar prize. The real prize - far less physical in form, yet invaluable - is the possibility to feel like a king, even if for just an evening. To men like them, a woman's touch, adoration by the masses, the feel of nice clothes are proof enough that a man can escape the humiliation of the ghetto.
