Plot : Kill the Irishman is a crime based action drama, which has been inspired by a book titled “To Kill the Irishman: The War That Crippled the Mafia” written by Rick Porrello. This biographical film, dramatizes the true life of an Irish-American mobster, named Danny Greene, who strived to reach the peak of Cleveland's gangster world, while working with them during the late 1970s. The plotline of this true story shows that in the summer of 1976, a turf war fumed up between Danny Greene and the Italian underworld, after the explosion of thirty-six bombs in the center of Cleveland. At the same time, Danny gets associated with a gangster named John Nardi and ceases following orders of the Italian mafia, while pursuing his own set of powers. In the film, several attempts are made by the gangsters to kill Danny, in order to exact their revenge. But surprisingly Danny emerges out to be a difficult-to-kill and fearless agitator, who finally gets successful in eradicating the mafia groups prevailing all over the United states of America. This is an amazing story of a tough guy, who once was as a minion longshoreman union representative. This is Danny’s story of how he became a conceited, notorious mobster in the world of structured crime, during the 1970’s.
